I’m actually a student. I am doing an undergraduate in occupational therapy + enjoying my life as an independent girl. I also used to share my first-hand experience in Korea through YouTube.
- WHY ARE YOU INTERESTED IN KOREA?

As an adventurous person, I try to seek happiness through new experiences so during the pandemic I got the opportunity to study in Korea. My parents just told me to use this opportunity so I did. Now I think that was a wise decision.
- WHY DO YOU CHOOSE TO STAY IN THIS CITY?

Straightforward answer I am a city girl so I am used to hustle and bustle places rather than countryside peace. Everything is nearby and convenient for me so …..
- WHERE IS YOUR LOCAL RECOMMENDATION IN THIS CITY?

I recommend the Han River picnic. It’s like spending time with friends and scenic surroundings + eating in the open—especially on summer evenings. I just love it.
- WHAT DO YOU ENJOY THE MOST WHILE STAYING ABROAD?

There is not any specific thing I enjoy the most. I just like to spend time with friends. Shopping, gossiping, eating, clubbing, cooking means everything.
- WHAT IS THE BIGGEST CHALLENGE BEING IN KOREA?

The biggest challenge is still a challenge for me. I am vegetarian so it’s really difficult for me to find Korean vegan food in restaurants. Because of that Korean people usually don’t go out with me for a meal.
- WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN KOREA AND YOUR COUNTRY?

There are a lot of differences between India and Korea. On an academic basis, in Korea, one semester is about 15 weeks only and 10 weeks of vacation but In India semester is almost 5 months then 2 weeks of vacation.
- DID YOU EXPERIENCE ANY CHANGE IN YOUR LIFE AND FUTURE PROSPECTS?

I experienced a huge change in my life. After coming to Korea I learned to prioritize things, how to spend money, be less talkative, thinker, more expressive, etc 😅
- WHAT IS YOUR DREAM?

As for now, my dream is to open a day care center for children in Korea. or Working in a Korean rehabilitation center as an occupational therapist but before that I have to pass the license exam.
- MESSAGE TO OUR FRIENDS WHO WILL GO TO KOREA.

If you are coming to korea keep in mind that it’s not that much easier to make korean friends. I would suggest not thinking Korea is like K-drama it’s very different.
- HOW DO YOU LEARN KOREAN?

I learned the Korean language at Daegu University Korean Language Institute for one year. After that the accent I learned by using Korean in my everyday life.
